A five-day design charrette with George Brown's Institute Without Boundaries, the Mass Timber Institute and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority at Bolton Camp, inventing the 'missing micro' of the urban fabric: modular mass-timber micro-infrastructure for retail, work, housing and education.

In depth

Built the precedent research (Penguin Pick-up pop-ups, Ontario Place, tiny-home structures), shaped user insight into student persona films, and documented the generative, systems-inspired SIMS design method in a self-published process booklet, 'Changing the Line', bridging modular kit-of-parts thinking and practical waterfront micro-structures.
