1. What This Page Covers

This page explains which cookies and browser storage the JVVDESIGN website uses and what your choices are. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Turning a category off removes its stored data right away.

2. How Consent Works

On your first visit you get a notice with three options: Accept all, Decline, or Settings for each category.

Your choice is stored on your device only. The site does not send it anywhere.

3. Essential Storage (Always Active)

One cookie is always needed. It only remembers your cookie choice.

• jvv_consent_v1: your cookie choice. First-party cookie, expires after 180 days.
• cookie_consent_v1: an old version of this setting. If your browser still has it, the site converts it and deletes it.

4. Functional Storage (Optional)

These items make the site more comfortable to use. They are only stored after you say yes.

• darkModePreference: remembers your light or dark theme. Cookie, 365 days.

5. Analytical Storage

There is no analytics on this site. The switch exists for a possible future privacy-friendly counter, which would only start if you opt in.

6. Google Fonts

This site loads its fonts and icons from Google Fonts. To deliver them, Google sees your IP address. This happens on almost every website that uses Google Fonts, and it falls under Google's own privacy policy.

7. Cloudflare

Traffic to this site and to the chat's server passes through Cloudflare, the network provider that delivers and protects both. To do that job Cloudflare sees your IP address and the basics of each request.

In normal browsing Cloudflare sets no cookies here. If its security checks ever have to challenge a request, Cloudflare may set its own strictly-protective cookies (__cf_bm, cf_clearance). They belong to Cloudflare, fall under Cloudflare's own privacy policy, and are never used for advertising or tracking.

8. Sending a Message

When you send an enquiry, your email address and message travel over an encrypted connection. If Winston is reachable they are filed as your thread on my own assistant server, where he answers you; if he is not, the message is emailed straight to the site's mailbox instead. The website itself keeps no database of submissions.

The chat stores nothing in your browser: your conversation lives in memory until you send it and is gone when you close the tab. Nothing from the chat expires or has to be deleted on this device.

9. Changing or Deleting Your Data

You can clear all of this yourself in your browser settings, under cookies and site data for this website. The site keeps working without it. You will just see the cookie notice again.
